Mark Cohen

Mark R. Cohen (born March 11, 1943) is an American scholar, professor of Near Eastern studies at Princeton University specializing in Jews in the Muslim world. He is a leading scholar of the history of Jews in the Middle Ages under Islam. He also heads the Geniza Project at Princeton University, which aims to place an extensive number of medieval documents on an online search engine.
