Meir Buzaglo
Philosopher
Dr. Meir Buzaglo is a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the Hebrew University. He received a B.S. in Mathematics, Physics and Philosophy of Science, an M.S. in Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Hebrew University. He has written three books: The Logic of Concept Expansion (Cambridge University Press, 2002); Solomon Maimon: Monism, Skepticism and Mathematics (Pittsburgh University Press, 2002); Until the Day Prevails (Reuven Mass, 2007); and A Language for the Faithful (Mandel-Keter Press, 2009). Meir Buzaglo is one of the initiators of the revival of the traditional piyut (Jewish liturgical poetry) in Israel and was a founder of the website “An Invitation to Piyut”.
