To understand a rich literary context and deep symbolical implication of these works it is possible, having only tracked unexpected transformations of a biblical scene about Joseph in post-bible and Muslim literature.

The orientalist Simeon Parizhsky (к.ф.н, ISAA Moscow State University) tells about evolution of plots about Joseph in apocryphal stories and early ravvinistichesky literature, and the professor of chair иранистики ISAA Moscow State University Marina Reysner - about Yusuf and Zulaykh in Koranic and Persian literature.

Lecture will take place in 17.00 in an atrium of Department of personal collections of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts .

Entrance on an exhibition and lecture free, but only under a condition online registration (the quantity of places is limited).

The museum is closed right after lecture so we recommend to come for survey of an exhibition in advance.
